Walter Lawrence “Larry” Warner age 74 of Hartville, OH passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at The Inn at Whitewood Village in North Canton, OH. He was born November 18, 1946 in Columbus, OH a son of the late Walter C. and Verena M. Heppner Warner.
He was a 1965 Graduate of the Caldwell High School in Caldwell, OH. He went on to serve and protect his nation with the US Air Force in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Uniontown, OH and the local VFW. He retired from Goodyear following 33 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns play football.
He could often be found on Friday nights attending Lake High School football games with this daughter. He also adored spending time with Isabelle, his daughter’s dog.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Robert “Bob” L. Warner; sister Ruth Marie Warner; brother-in-law Arthur “Art” L. Bolen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Norma J. Bay Warner, whom he married May 12, 1973; daughter Heather Owens of Canton, OH; son Robert Lawrence Warner of North Olmsted, OH; grandson Jordan Owens; 4 sisters Judith M. Bolen of Dexter City, OH, Kathy Presnell of Cambridge, OH, Elaine Warner of McConnelsville, OH, and Marlene Goodhart of Caldwell; sister-in-law Dora Ann Warner of Caldwell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home-Hartville, 504 W. Maple Street, Hartville, OH 44632 and Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Caldwell, with Military Graveside Services conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Larry’s honor to the American Cancer Society or to Mercy Hospice. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Mercy Hospice and The Inn at Whitewood Village for the tremendous care they offered to Larry.
