Joey M. Franklin age 63, of Sarahsville, OH passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at his home. He was born August 29, 1962 in Cambridge, OH, son of William C. and Linda L. Moore Franklin of Sarahsville, OH.

He loved his wife and cherished his kids and grandkids, especially watching them in their sports and activities. He was an equipment operator for the Ohio Department of Transportation, working out of the Noble County Garage. He also served as a Marion Township Trustee for several years, where he proudly served his neighbors. Joey could often be found cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed hunting.

He is preceded in death by his sister Pamela L. Winland; mother-in-law JoAnn Parks and sister-in-law Cindi Starr.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory is his wife Penny J. Parks Franklin, whom he married August 6, 1983; two children Lacie (David II) Hoyt of Sarahsville, OH and Tanner (Renea) Franklin of Caldwell; grandchildren Piper and Oliver Hoyt, Gracie Franklin, and Sebastian Antill; siblings Allen (Julie) Franklin, William (Jill) Franklin II, and Patti (Adam) Mallett all of Sarahsville, OH; father-in-law James (Dixie) Parks Jr. of Summerfield, OH; brother-in-law James (Jill) Parks III of Summerfield, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services being held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, has been entrusted to care for the family.
