Ronald “Bill” William Morland, 75, of Caldwell, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026 at his home. He was born on January 4, 1951, in Cambridge, to the late Dwight Freeland Morland and Mary Rosella Clark Morland. He was a graduate of Shenandoah High School.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Vicky L. Davis Morland; his two sons, Shawn Morland of Columbus and Bryan (Marla) Morland of London. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Randi (Nelson) Mowry and Casey (Stephen) Lemieux; and his great-grandchildren, Lyla Mowry, Wren Lemieux, and Everett Lemieux.
He is also survived by his siblings, Alice Crow, Sue Lisak, and Leonard Morland; and stepbrothers, Bob Crow, John Crow, Homer Crow, and Dan Crow. Bill had many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, with a special affinity for Kristi Carpenter, Gary Lovett and Debbie McKee.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Crow; his sisters, Mary Ann (Don) Blair, Jean (Richard) Lovett, and Shirley (Bob) Bonney; his brothers, Jim Morland and Larry Morland; and his father- and mother-in-law, James (Florence) Davis, whom he loved as his own parents.
Bill was a proud steelworker who retired from Clevite, where he dedicated many years of hard work and service. He was deeply involved in his union, serving as both a treasurer and a representative. He had a natural ability to negotiate and took great pride in advocating for others, always working to make a fair deal. He was also a member of the Freemason Lodge in Cambridge, where he valued the fellowship and principles it represented.
Known for his loving and encouraging nature, Bill was quick-witted and fiercely loyal to those he cared about. He enjoyed being around family and friends, and his presence brought warmth, humor, and strength to every room. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for how he made people feel—supported, valued, and cared for.
Bill’s legacy lives on through the generations he helped shape, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
