Thomas “Tom” S. Kotol Sr. age 79, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2023. He passed away at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born in Garfield Heights, OH on January 28, 1944 a son of the late John and Eileen Tupa Kotol.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1967 on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Enterprise CVN-65. Thomas was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Post #641. He owned Kotol Die Casting and had a fulfilled career in tool and die casting. He was a dedicated father, enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, yardwork, cooking, M&M’s, and anything chocolate or sugar filled.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Jack and Tim Kotol.
Mr. Kotol is survived by his sister Kathleen Borden of Mentor, OH; his forever special friend Janette Mika of Cumberland; children Cindy (John) Young of Sarahsville, OH, Tom (Kelly) Kotol of New Concord, OH, and Katie (Andy) Kotol of Pickerington, OH; nephews Paul & Chris Kotol, Greg Borden, niece Kellee Borden; grandchildren Tom & Payton Kotol, Gracie (Parker) Young; step-great-grandson Rykr Boyce. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
