Irene Dillon

Irene Dillon age 85, of Caldwell, OH passed away Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born December 27, 1939 in Keith, WV a daughter of the late Chester and Irene Norton Thomas.

She served and protected her nation in the United States Army. Irene was a member of the Keith Community Church in Keithtown, OH. She loved sewing, hunting, fishing and crafting.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Alan J. Dillon, whom she married November 27, 1959 and who passed away January 31, 2025; son Alan Jay Dillon; twin sisters Alma Moore and Thelma Hawkins; brother William Bud Thomas.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Brian Jeff (Lori) Dillon of Olmsted Falls, OH; grandchildren Bailey Dillon, Beau Dillon, Toni (Andrew) Dittus, and Kerri (Justin) Herman; and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Keith Cemetery in Keithtown, OH where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Alan.
