Donald E. Decker age 68 of Marietta, OH passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. He was born September 4, 1957 in Marietta, son of the late Dean P. and Evelyn Hutchison Decker.

He was a 1975 graduate of Marietta High School. He retired from the public debt in Parkersburg, WV. He was an avid reader, his curiosity fed by the countless books that shaped his mind and imagination.

Those left to cherish his memory are his husband Mitchel Decker whom he married August 17, 2017; siblings Diana Cheeseman of Marietta, Dean (Cheryl) Decker Jr. of Fleming, OH, David (Sheila) Decker of Parkersburg, Denise Decker of Marietta, and Daneen Decker of Lowell, OH; nieces Angie Walker and Casey Longaberger; nephew Aaron Cheeseman; his best friend Gary Whitehair. His beloved pets Monty, Brutus and Jordan will miss him greatly, the love he gave them was like none other.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
