Betty Nadene Bickford age 93 of Zanesville, OH, formerly of Cumberland, OH passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. She was born April 17, 1933 in Renrock, OH a daughter of the late Howard and Leota VanDyne Morrison.

She was employed for many years at the former NCR, Hamilton Beach and United Technologies manufacturing plants until her retirement in 1999. Betty will be remembered as a mother that always had a clean home and enjoyed cleaning for her family. She enjoyed riding with family in a side-by-side to visit important locations from her youth and reminiscing of times past.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Sherman “Bill” Bickford whom she married September 4, 1948 and who passed away on October 6, 2020; two brothers Isaac and Jack Morrison; and three sisters Faye Boyd, twins Renna Blaine, and Rama Eileen Morrison.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, William (Judy) Bickford, Donnie (Pam) Bickford, Nada (Mark) McKinney, and Bobby (Kristi) Bickford; grandchildren Tina (Jared) Michel, Bill (Shelly) Bickford, Brad (Karrie), Chad (Nat), and Adam Bickford, Ryan (Christy) McKinney, Adessa (Ryan) Eskridge, and Kyle (Elizabeth) Bickford; great-grandchildren Chantell and C.J. (Katie) Danford, Tristen (Carrie) and Taylor (John) Milligan, Tessa, Zoe, and Charlee Ann Bickford, Caroline McKinney, Elliott Rose and Jacob Eskridge, and Rhett Bickford; great-great-grandchildren Brantley, Brealyn, Adilynn, Colston, Brylynn, Blakelynn, Ranger, and Roczen; special people in her life Susan Hunter and Eric Poland. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, October 18, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Cemetery, in Cumberland, OH where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Bill.
