My sympathy to the Paxton family. Your mother was a wonderful lady. I have many fond memories with your parents during my youth from "Trick or Treating" in your neighborhood through years of wonderful scouting experiences with your dad's leadership. I too remember those evening card parties in your living room. Our parents were friends, and we were friends as well. Marcella will long be remembered within the community and especially by those of us blessed to be around her.

We have recently relocated to Wayne County, OH and not able to be present for the funeral in Caldwell. I had the honor of delivering the most holy Eucharist to Marcella several times. I was part of the team of Eucharistic Ministers from St. Stephen's for several years. I have nothing more to add to my condolences regarding Marcella, I have read the posts and confirm all of them..a beautiful person she was! We had the honor of attending a few of the New Years Eve parties that she and Fred hosted. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time. She will be missed by many.

Your Mom was the best!!! Kind, fun, happy, full of life! She enjoyed everything and it was a joy to see her and visit with her. She lives on through all of you. What a gift she has given to you, her children! Today, we celebrate Marcella - a class act, all around! Hugs...

Marcella and Bob and their family have been such a large part of my family's life. I remember Marcella, Bob, Marguerite, and Harry around a card table and many special times at the house with Joan and siblings. Love and prayers from Marguerite, Jack, and me.

To All the family,
Marcella was a wonderful lady who knew no stranger. I remember her forever when I would come to your house when I was in school. She always had a smile. I am sorry that I am out of town and will not be able to be with you, but know you are in my prayers.

We send our sincere sympathies. The closeness of your family is so very special and most likely due to having such a wonderful mother as a guide. So sorry we are not able to attend services but you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Paxton Children, You have such loving memories of your mother that will be in your hearts forever. I recall as a child your family going to church together and the smile on your moms face ....how proud she was of you children. May Jesus wrap his arms around you all and give you peace and comfort at this sad time. Love and prayers to you all at this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Many of my earliest memories growing up in the 50's on Oaklawn Avenue are of Marcella. From working in her flower gardens to bringing the neighborhood kids Kool-Aid popcicles on hot summer days under the shade tree in your front yard. She was a grand lady and her kindness to me will never be forgotten. You are all in our prayers.
