Elvin A. “Butch” Wheeler II, age 56 of Caldwell, OH passed away Friday morning, May 15, 2015 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born January 8, 1959, a son of Peggy Baker (Roy) Cunningham of Cumberland, OH and Elvin A. (Evelyn) Wheeler of Caldwell.
Butch had several hobbies such as fishing and playing golf, but what he will be best remembered for was his cooking. He could often be found in the back yard slaving over the smoker, just to later share his creations with family, friends and neighbors. Those that knew Butch also know that he loved his motorcycles and loved to ride. He was an employee of Warren Trucking located in Dexter City, OH.
He is preceded in death by a brother Jeffrey Wheeler; step-brother Jerry Cunningham and step-sister Angela Cunningham.
In addition to his parents, he will always be lovingly remembered by, a son Brett (Fiancée Evelyn Scherer) Wheeler of Caldwell; 3 brothers Gregory Wheeler of Cumberland, William “Bill” (Debra) Wheeler of Cumberland and Roy (Lori) Cunningham Jr. of Cumberland; step-siblings Gary (Patty) Rossiter of Caldwell, Ralph (Diane) Miller of Caldwell, Kevin (Linda) Schott of Sharon, Jack (Olivia) Schott of Caldwell and Jill (John) Kelly of Zanesville, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Hoskinsville Cemetery near Belle Valley, OH.
