Thirty years ago, my wife suggested that I go see a chiropractor before submitting to the back surgery that I was scheduled to receive. Despite my skepticism, I went to see Dr. Cover. Not only did she get me back on my feet and back to work, but she also taught me some things that I would need to know in order to maintain my spinal health as time went by. Today, with every strong, stable step that I take in life, I carry gratitude for Dr. Cover in my heart. The profound impact that she had on my ability to function in this world causes me to think of her nearly every day. She gave me the ability to live my life, and I will never forget hers.

I met Dr. Ruth in, of all places, Lincoln, NE. I was working there for a few months and she was there getting treatments. We both ended up in the StayBridge Suites. I talked with her almost every night at dinner and she was delightful to talk with. She never let on or admitted that she was feeling a little down; she always put the best face on everything. She was always charming and gracious as she would respond to my inquiries, in a quiet voice, with "I'm doing OK." She was very strong in her Faith and she never doubted that she was doing the right thing regarding her treatment approach. She was also strong in her convictions and acceptance of her fate. I have nothing but admiration and respect for her and I will miss my Friend.
I wish to express my condolences to Jackie and the entire family. My God grant you Grace, Mercy, Strength, and Understanding in the days and weeks ahead. Continue to live the Legacy of Dr. Ruth!

Monroeville High School Class of 1960 sends its sincere condolences to the family of Ruth Ann. We so enjoyed her wit and humorous comments at our many class reunions. Ruth Ann lived a productive and path breaking trail through life and we will miss her! I, personally, always enjoyed sitting and chatting about our respective career paths. Ruth Ann had strong opinions and was happy to share when asked.

"My sympathy to Ruth's family: we can learn from her legend of love, of life, of faith in God and so much more." Love, Millie Smith Greenwald

I know my mom cherished the time she spent with Ruthie throughout the years. She told me about helping Aunt Mary with the children, and how she enjoyed spending time with Ruthie, even though there was an age difference of eight years. Ruthie came to visit mom in the last few years, which meant a lot to her. She enjoyed their renewed friendship and was truly inspired by her faith and strength right up until the end. So to your entire family from both of us keep her love alive and God bless! Diane Tuttle

Dear Tonya and Jackie.
I know Ruth meant so much to so many but when I remember your mother, I recall all the many visits to your home as a child. As an adult, I look back and realize how your mom was forever encouraging, guiding, and trying to prepare us for our future; instilling in us that we could be and accomplish anything.
Her love for her daughter's and later her grandchildren was so evident and I know cherished by all of you.
I remember her and her legacy and smile.
May our loving God be with your entire family as you miss her presence her on earth.

Love,
Kelly, Chris, and Seve Patton

I started as a patient of Dr. Ruth's, but felt we became friends. She was kind, professional and fun! She and Dr. Tom were special people ~ always enjoyed seeing them when they came to Williamsport UM Church. They were missed when they left the Mt. Gilead area. Sympathy and prayers to her family.

To Ruth`s family,

We know she will be missed very much. She and Tom were both a joy to know and share with. We were welcomed in their home several times for a meal, and they were always so kind and considerate. Their travels with grandchildren amazed us, and I was even allowed to drive their new car when it arrived from England. They were both great witnesses for Christ and I know they made a positive impact in that witness. May God give you peace and comfort in You loss.

Love & Prayers,

Pastor Gary & Dianne
