Sharon Dee (Schafer) Baker

Sharon Dee Baker age 61, of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville, OH. She was born August 25, 1962 in Zanesville a daughter of David Lee Schafer Sr. of Zanesville and Wava Joy Geary Schafer of Caldwell.

She worked in dispatch for Jeff Keith Trucking for over 30 years. Sharon was a member of the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene. She loved going on cruises, vacationing, traveling to Amish Country and thrifting. Sharon found her greatest joy in being a grandparent, and she will always be cherished as the "Best Mammy" imaginable.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Byron and Carolyn Baker; brother-in-law Randy Baker; sister-in-law Diana Baker Bohn and nephew James Rainer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Gary Dale Baker, whom she married June 27, 1987; 3 children Gary (Katrina) Baker of Caldwell, Sharalyn (Brice) Ball of Chandlersville, OH, and Noah (Anna Miller) Byler of Orwell, OH; grandchildren Linda, Lily, Garrett, Harper, Emma, Logan, and another grandchild on the way; siblings Ruth (Steve) Johnson of Mt. Ephraim, OH, Kathy Bettinger of Zanesville, Darlene (David) Myers of Zanesville, Marsha (Jeff) Border of Caldwell, David (Beth) Schafer Jr. of Caldwell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Rick (Judy) Baker of Caldwell, Dee Baker of Glenford, OH, Jim Bohn of Zanesville, Kathy Rainer of Caldwell, Danny Baker of Caldwell, and Shari (Bill) Siddle of Caldwell; Sharon’s also survived by her trusty companion Paco and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor John Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sharon Baker Family to be used for her Memorial Garden, c/o Chandler Funeral Home.
