Rodger Henthorne Obituary

Rodger C. Henthorne age 81, of Cambridge, OH, formerly of Sarahsville, OH passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH. He was born May 8, 1940, in Wellsburg, WV a son of the late Alfred C. and Gertrude M. Barnhart Henthorne.

He served and protected his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Cambridge Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and visiting friends and family. He was an automotive body repairman for many years and a preacher.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 sisters Anna Jane (Dewey) Harris and Virginia Lucille (William) McMannis; 3 brothers Ray, Wayne, and Jim Henthorne; brother-in-law Dale V. Groves.

Those left to cherish his memory are his 2 children Sharon (Dale Oliver) Henthorne of Caldwell and Shain Henthorne of Cambridge; 4 grandchildren Jerimiah, Shaina, Breanna, and Serena; great-grandchildren; sister Linda Groves of Cambridge; sister-in-law Shirley Henthorne of Cambridge. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time. Inurnment will be held in the Keith Cemetery in Keithtown, OH.
