Robert “Bob” A. Reed age 70, of Cambridge, OH formerly of Batesville, OH passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Cambridge Care & Rehabilitation in Cambridge. He was born March 14, 1950 in Barnesville, OH a son of the late Charles W. and Mary L. Howiler Reed.
He was a 1968 graduate of Shenandoah High School. He was a dairy farmer and had been employed for the Quinn Coal and Valley Mining companies. He enjoyed sitting on his porch spitting on the tree and watching the grass grow. His most enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid television watcher and had a passion for good food.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Steve Scrapchansky.
Those left to cherish his memory are 3 children Jennifer (Karri Stover) Reed of Byesville, OH, Amy Neff of Cambridge, and Doug Reed and Sarah Reed of Caldwell; 6 grandchildren Abigail Neff, Kaitlin Neff, Shelby Stover, Samantha Wigington, Earah Reed, and Matix Reed; 2 great-grandchildren Wyatt Dolan and Axel Robert Neff; 2 sisters Carol (Howard) Wheeler of Antrim, OH and Barbara Scrapchansky of New Concord, OH; brother David (Jean) Reed of Quaker City, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A memorial service will conclude visitation Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Evangelist Jimmie Moore officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
