Patsy L. Truax

Patsy L. Truax age 84, of Cumberland, OH passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Altercare Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, OH. She was born February 27, 1938 in Calais, OH a daughter of the late Rev. Durel E. and Edna M. Hayes Truax.

She was a teacher for over 37 years having taught in Cleveland, then moved back to Caldwell and eventually retiring from the Caldwell Exempted Village Schools. She so very adored her many students over the years. She was a Methodist by faith and attended the Ava United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, and camping. She will be remembered for her love for animals, especially her dog.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Bobby Bunting.

Those left to cherish her memory are 2 brothers John of Caldwell and Gary (Cheryl) of Woodsfield, OH; dearest friend Cindy G. Rayner of Cumberland; niece Michelle (Ray) Hennessey of Virginia; nephew Corey (Heather) Truax of California; 4 great-nephews; her beloved dog Patter.

The family will observe a private graveside service at the Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield, OH where Patsy will be laid to rest next to her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Paws Inc Humane Society of Noble County, P.O. Box 4, Caldwell, OH 43724.
