Patricia M. (Finkel) Smith

Patricia M. Smith age 83, of Caldwell, Ohio passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born March 2, 1937 in Beverly, Ohio a daughter of the late Elmo and Yolanda Mae Edgell Finkel.

She was a member of the Caldwell Church of Christ. She retired from the Caldwell Public Library following many years of service. She enjoyed reading and time spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her wonderful baking from her pies to her cookies.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 children Miriam Gray, Debi Pettit, and Michael Sprague; stepson Roger D. Smith; brothers Larry and Brian Finkel.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Dewey D. Smith, whom she married November 18, 1998; son Stephen (Teresa) Sprague of Bedford, TX; stepchildren Bruce (Debbie) Smith of Alliance, OH and Marsha (Danny) Allbritain of Caldwell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Kenny (Donna) Finkel of Beverly, OH. She is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for a Graveside Service on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Beverly Cemetery in Beverly, with Jim Garrett and Mark Frenier co-officiating. Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
