Marleen E. Tate

Marleen E. Tate age 87 of Zanesville, OH, formerly of Caldwell, OH passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Altercare of Zanesville. She was born November 29, 1934 in West Virginia a daughter of the late Floyd Miller and Iva Miller Russell.

She enjoyed gardening with her flowers, watching Days of Our Lives, attending family get-togethers, and playing with her cats.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James A. “Jim” Tate whom she married November 15, 1952 and who passed away March 31, 2010; step-father Charles Russell; sons-in-law Bill Weaver and Mike Farnsworth; 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters Deanna Weaver of Zanesville, OH, Brenda Farnsworth of Marietta and Kathy Goobsy of Walnut Grove, AL; son Jim Tate of North Canton, OH; Granddaughter Deanna “Janie” Tate of Marietta; very good friend Shirley Mandley of Caldwell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will observe a private graveside service at the Olive Cemetery in Caldwell, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Jim. Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
