Linda D. (Jones) Stewart

Linda D. Stewart age 72, of Marietta, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. She was born February 10, 1949 in Rosemont, WV a daughter of the late James B. and Edna Lipscombe Jones.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Julie Stewart Joy; husband Thomas E. Stewart whom she married March 22, 1966 and who passed away June 12, 2019; siblings Marilyn Blake, James and William Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Thomas “Tink” (Tallarie) Stewart and Tim (Donna Sanders) Stewart all of Marietta; daughter Vicki (Rick) Thieman of Waterford, OH; son-in-law Shawn Joy of Marietta; grandchildren Joe (Erin) Stewart, Marisa (Scott) Martin, Ryan (Camey Gerst) and Jeff (Kelsey Clark) Thieman, Lindsay (Colin) Frame, Derek Joy, Josh, Kaleigh, and Chloe Stewart; great-grandchildren Brock, Dane, Walker, and Sawyer Stewart, Garrett Martin, and Asher Schaad; brothers Michael and Gary Jones.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will be observed with a celebration of life planned for a later date at the discretion of her family. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Linda’s memory to the St. Paul’s Church, 401 Fifth Street, Marietta, OH 45750.
