Jeffrey "Jeff" L. Gerst

Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Gerst age 65, of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Altercare Summit Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Caldwell. He was born November 11, 1956 in Zanesville, OH a son of the late Donald Joseph and Coralou Starr Gerst.

He was a 1975 graduate of the Caldwell High School. He eventually retired in 2021 from the Sharon Stone Slag Plant following 30 plus years of service. He was an avid farmer and enjoyed spending time with his grandson and fishing with him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister-in-law Tammy Gerst.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Jesse J. (Paula M. Church) Gerst of Caldwell; grandson Henry U. Gerst; siblings Paul Gerst, Phoebe Gerst, Gerald (Christine) Gerst, Joyce (Jerry) Mosser all of Caldwell, and Edward Gerst of Summerfield, OH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
