James “Jim” Richard Clark Sr. age 90, of Caldwell, OH went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 8, 1931 in Sarahsville, OH a son of the late Little Zedrick Clark Sr. and Rosa Belle Bates Clark.
He was a graduate of the Sarahsville High School. After graduating he joined the U.S. Army and served two years with the 3rd Armored, 40th Tank Battalion, Company B. After completing his time in the Army, he returned home and met the love of his life, Nancy Jo Cox. They were married on June 6th, 1954 and celebrated 68 years of marriage this year.
James worked in construction as a concrete finisher for many years, until a work accident occurred. James was a member of Noble Masonic Lodge #459, Chapter and Council, Mark Lodge and Scottish Rites of Cambridge. He was an avid member of The Caldwell Church of Christ, Cumberland St., Caldwell. Jim was a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Opal Leasure and Mary Anderson; brothers John Clark, Delbert Clark, Zedrick Clark Jr., and W.C “Bill” Clark.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Nancy Jo Cox Clark; daughters Betty Jo (Merron) Due of Lufkin, TX, Debra Clark of Caldwell; son James (Teresa) Clark Jr. of Caldwell. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and their spouses and 13 great-grandchildren; sister Rosa King of Caldwell and brother Joseph E. Clark of Pleasant City, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Robert Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell, with military graveside honors conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
