Gladys Mae Pinney, 78, of Buffalo, Ohio departed this earth to be with her Heavenly Father, March 12, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
Gladys was born July 15, 1942 in New Lyme, Ohio to Margie (Easton) Pinney and Harry L. Pinney, Jr. She was a 1960 graduate of Deming High School where she enjoyed playing basketball, softball, and being a member of the drill team. A few years after graduating, she met and married the love of her life, Robert H. Kemmer of Jefferson, Ohio and had 3 children.
For 20 years Gladys was a USN submariner’s wife frequently moving from state to state. Gladys was known for her devotion to family, her love for the Lord, love and pride for her country and never apologized for it. She was lovingly referred to as “Aunt Cookie” by her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie (Easton) Rex, father, Harry Pinney, brother, Jim Pinney, and sister, Carol (Pinney) Porter.
She is survived by her stepfather Howard Rex of Jefferson, Ohio, brother Mark (Kathy) Rex of Ashtabula, Ohio, sister-in-law Nancy Pinney of Jefferson, Ohio, brother-in-law Owen Porter of Geneva, Ohio, her 3 children William (Toledo) Kemmer of Clinton, North Carolina, Robert (Phyllis) Kemmer of Buffalo, Ohio, Margie (Micah) Briley of Austin, Arkansas, as well as 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and her beloved cats, Olivia and Smokey.
Her loss will be deeply felt to those who knew her, but the impact of her love will live on forever through them.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time.
