Emogene P. (Theiss) Young

Emogene P. Young age 77, of Caldwell, OH passed away Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Summit Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Caldwell. She was born December 8, 1940 in Pennsylvania a daughter of the late William and Alice Theiss.

Emogene was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. She enjoyed babysitting and baking cakes, especially wedding cakes. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Tom and Lincoln Theiss.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband William L. “Bill” Young whom she married December 4, 1959; 2 daughters Myra (Geary) Aycock of Louisiana and Nancy (Roy) Maldonado of Hobbs, NM; 1 son John (Cindy) Young of Sarahsville, OH; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Don (Carolyn) Theiss of Orwell, OH; 4 sisters Louise Carrel, Caroline Davis, and Marie Duffalo all of Caldwell, and “Tricky” (Larry) Arnold of New Lexington, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday May 18, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday May 19, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will conclude visitation Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Evangelist Brent Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, OH.
