Donald Michael Muffet (b. January 19, 1977) passed away on January 19, 2022, at the age of 45. He lived in New Philadelphia, Ohio with his two cats, Snuggles and Yoda. Donald graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1995, where he wrestled, played football, sang in the chorus, and threw shot-put and discus. After high school, he enrolled in the U.S. Army and served for two years. Later in life, with guidance from his godfather and biggest supporter Daniel Muffet, Donald earned his CDL license and worked as a truck driver for several companies, including Village Lumber & Supply, the family business. In recent years he worked as a licensed sales manager for AllState Insurance. He attended Dennison First Church of God.
A gentle giant loved by many, Donald is survived by his parents Michael and Janet (Brown) Muffet of Quaker City, Ohio, sisters Mallory and Molly, and brother Trey. He is also survived by his four biological sisters—Bonny Mummey, Rachel Cerda, Millie Phillips, and Teresa Paige—and by his former wife, Tina Burkhart Muffet. He is preceded in death by his biological brother Bill Norton.
Donald loved raising Siberian Huskies, visiting with friends, attending church and family gatherings, playing board games, and participating in a good discussion. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Breanna Cooper, son-in-law Bradley Cooper, grandson Xavier Cooper, nieces Mya Dimmerling and Hailey, Kylee, and Lilly Shevitz, nephews Elijah and Christian Dimmerling, and brother-in-law Kevin Shevitz.
Donald Muffet’s visitation service will be held at Chandler Funeral Home (609 West St) in Caldwell, Ohio on Sunday, January 23rd from 1:00 pm- 6:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24th at 11:00 am at Kennonsburg United Methodist Church (57599 Kennonsburg Rd) in Salesville, Ohio.
