Daniel B. Archer “Bunk” age 66, of Caldwell, OH passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born March 19, 1952 in Caldwell, OH a son of the late Bernard and Betty Warner Archer.
He was a 1970 graduate of the Shenandoah High School. He was a member of the Saint Mary’s of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and their Usher’s Club. He was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation at the Noble County Garage for many years. At one time he owned and operated the Ashton Inn or also known as Bunker’s Place. Danny always loved to visit with his family and friends, who he cherished very much.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Wanda Brown.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Denise Saling Archer, whom he married May 10, 1980; 3 children Daniel Archer, Dennis (Victoria Feldner) Archer, and Deanna (Matt Clark) Archer all of Caldwell; grandchildren Jaimason, Gracie, Clayton, Christian, Dominic, and Owen; his siblings Marlene (John) Gaydos of Caldwell, Nancy (Robert) Thompson of Zanesville, OH, Patty Tonnous of Caldwell, Mary Jane (Myron) Hannahs of Ravenna, OH, Becky (Slink) Hendershot of Caldwell and Randy (Gwen) Archer of Carlisle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, with a Vigil Service to conclude visitation at 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris and Rev. Father Chester Pabin serving as concelebrants. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
