Christine A. (Johnson) Knight

Christine A. Knight age 71, of Cumberland, OH passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Guernsey Inc. She was born January 30, 1948 in Akron, OH a daughter of the late Earl Bernard Sr. and Louise Cecillia Bauer Johnson.

She was the owner and operator of the former Tower Auto Recycling for 40 years and the former Chrissy’s Crafts in Caldwell. She was a well renowned artist in our area for many years. She was a member of the Art Guild and was active in the Art On The Square for several years. She loved her extended art community and the sheriff’s department families.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Knight whom she married September 13, 1980 and who passed just 11 short months and 1 day prior to her on June 29, 2018; 2 brothers Thomas Wayne Johnson and Earl Bernard (Eddy) Johnson Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are 1 daughter Kimberly L. (Mark Leeper) Knight of the home; 2 granddaughters Chelsie Bartnicki of Belle Valley and Carrie A. (Kyle Cannon) Yontz of Cambridge, OH; 6 great-grandchildren Kage, Cecillia, Billy, Ellie, Emery, and Jhett; 4 sisters Kathy (Pat) DeLaney of Malta, OH, Lynn (Buck) Copeland of Malta, Kelly (Mark) Ortt of Newcomerstown, OH, and Karen Johnson of Wyoming; 4 brothers Dennis (Doris) Johnson of Newcomerstown, Mark (Elizabeth) Johnson of Newcomerstown, Timmy Johnson of Newcomerstown, and Craig (Terri) Johnson of Kentucky; special family friends Julie Ferris and Logan Cline and their family all of Caldwell, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation Monday, June 3, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Memorial Service will conclude visitation at 6:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Cy Copeland officiating. Services will conclude at the Funeral Home and inurnment will be held at a later date in Plainfield Cemetery.
