Charles W. Harless

Charles Wesley Harless age 88 of Cambridge, OH passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1932 in Lincoln County, WV a son of the late Manford and Bonnie Marie Siders Harless.

He served and protected his nation in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the former State Hospital in Cambridge. He will be remembered for his love of farming.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Roselie Sawyer Harless whom he married December 25, 1954 and who passed March 20, 2021; a son Thomas Edward Harless; 2 daughters Jenny Lou Harless and Bonnie Edna Harless; grandson Paul Wesley Mills; son-in-law Dwaine Mills; 3 brothers Harold Gene Harless, Vernon Ray Harless, and Cecil Queen; and 3 infant brothers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Rosanna Lyn Mills of Cambridge; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Mary Lou Rowe of Sandusky, OH, Carrie Marie (Robert) Lemon of Huntington, OH, and Mattie Mae Matchettie of Austin, TX. Close friends Ed and Sandy Calvert and their daughters; Thresea Marlowe and her daughter Rebecca Welch and their families. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
