Betty June (Leasure) Davis

Betty June Davis age 89, of Cambridge, OH passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Beckett House in New Concord, OH. She was born May 10, 1928 in Noble County, OH a daughter of the late Clarence and Amy Thompson Leasure.

She was a Methodist by faith. She worked at the former Universal Potteries in Cambridge until the closing of the plant. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She could often be found playing Bingo and card games, especially Skip-Bo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee Davis; 3 sons Rex Allan Davis, Burt Arthur Davis, and Richard Aaron Davis; grandson Jimmy Cantor; 4 brothers Everett, Thoburn, Arthur, and Cleon Leasure; 1 sister Margaret Leasure VanFossen.

Those left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters Darlene (James) Cantor of Caldwell, OH, Teresa (Greg) Ansberry of Cambridge, and Brenda (Dr. Peter) Nara of Senecaville, OH; 11 grandchildren Shelley (Tom) Schott of Caldwell, Melissa (Kris) Wagoner of Perrysburg, OH, Dr. Cathy Cantor (Zack) Shaffer of Maumee, OH, Angie (Darren) Singleton of Senecaville, Kris Stewart of Columbus, OH, Aaron Warner of Las Vegas, NV, Josh Davis of Columbus, DeAnna (Jerome Barney) Nara of Washington, DC, Kelly (Justin Lusiak) Nara of Johnstown, OH, Stephanie (Brad) Nara-Burkhardt of Canal Winchester, OH, and Jessee Nara of Columbus; 2 step-grandsons Jon Ansberry of New Concord, and Jason Ansberry of Cambridge; 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

As per her wishes cremation will be observed and private services will be held by the immediate family. Memorial contributions may be directed in Betty’s name to the Beckett House, 1280 Friendship Drive, New Concord, OH 43762. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted to care for the family.
