Willie L. Martin

Willie 'Bill' L. Martin, age 81 of Cumberland, OH passed away Sunday December 2, 2012 at Cambridge Health and Rehab in Cambridge, OH, under the care of Hospice of Guernsey Inc. He was born September 16th, 1931 in Corrine, WV a son of the late Frank and Inez Epperly Martin. Bill served and protected our Nation in the US Navy. He retired from The Babcock & Wilcox Company after 30 years of service. In his spare time Bill enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an Infant Son; a Daughter Julie Smith and 9 Siblings. He was loved and will be missed by his family, Wife Margaret Martin of the home, whom he married March 21st, 1981; Son Allan (Sheri) Martin of Tampa, FL; 5 Stepchildren; Several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Step-Grandchildren and Step-Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. No visitation will be observed. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Wednesday December 5th, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH, with burial to follow. Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
