Life Legacy
 William Dale Woodford, age 92, of Caldwell passed away Tuesday Morning, November 24th, 2009 at the Summit Acres Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell. He was born May 26th, 1917 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Walter C. and Hazel McKee Woodford. 
 
Dale was a graduate of The Ohio State University acquiring a degree in Chemical Engineering. He then served and protected his country in the US Army. He worked for many years at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, on many different projects. 
 
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a Brother George Woodford. 
 
Surviving is a Sister Donnadene Walkenshaw of Johnstown, OH; Two Nephews Barry (Diane) Walkenshaw of Wichita, KS and Philip (Liz) Walkenshaw of South Carolina; Four Nieces Julie Martin of Plantation, FL, Jennifer Walkenshaw of Columbus, OH, Stephanie (Eric Bailey) Walkenshaw of Denver, CO and Catherine (Nate) Wells whose husband is a Green Beret, currently serving in Germany. He is also survived by many cousins and friends. 
 
Friends will be received Friday, November 27th, 2009 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Helen Lewis Officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Lutheran Social Services SEOM, 810 Main Street, Caldwell, OH 43724.
