William H. 'Bill' Rayner

William H. "Bill" Rayner age 82, of Cumberland, OH passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, OH. He was born July 6, 1934 in Guernsey County, OH a son of the late Irvil D. and Esther May Fish Rayner.

Bill attended Ava United Methodist Church in Ava, OH. He retired as a lineman for G.T.E. and could often be found working with his horses. He was a faithful member of the McDonalds Morning Coffee Club.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Janice Sue Stanbery Rayner, whom he married in May of 1984 and who passed away April 26, 2007; great-granddaughter Kenzie Rose McKee; brother Bub Rayner; 3 brothers-in-law Gene Ray, Ernie Varhola, and Tony Gibson.

Those left to cherish his memory are, a son Jerry (Barb) Rayner of Cumberland; 2 daughters Sandra (Denny) Riddle of Caldwell and Kathy (Tom) McKee of Caldwell; step-daughter Fonda (Aaron) Mettler of Dexter City, OH; 2 step-sons Ronnie Lee (Julie) Garvin and Trent Garvin all of Caldwell; grandchildren Nathan (Kelley) Riddle, Clint (Jackie) Riddle, Courtney Riddle, Luke (Lea) McKee, Brooke (Travis) DeVolld, Ryan (Megan) McKee, Devin McKee, Jessica (Joel) Crum, and Alisa Rayner, Amanda (Lee) Orahood, Josh (Stacey) Mettler, Austin Mettler, Tommee Garvin, Matt Westmorland, Faith & Hunter Garvin; several great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Carole Ray of Cumberland, Mary Lou Varhola of Belle Valley, OH, and Judy Gibson of Reynoldsburg, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Dale Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Halleys Ridge Cemetery near Ava.
