William Henry Overton

William Henry Overton, age 95 of Keithtown, OH went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 10:00 PM at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Caldwell, OH. He was born July 23, 1918 in Whitesville, WV a son of the late David H. and Hattie P. Bailey Overton.

Henry was a member of the Keith United Methodist Church, where he was active for many years. He was a retired coal miner from Armco Steel in Prenter, WV.

In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his wife Alma M Williams Overton, whom he married March 29, 1958 and who went to be with the Lord January 12, 2011; 1 Brother David E. Overton; 2 Sisters Jewel Griffith and Pearl Zakoura.

He is survived by his family, Son William B. (Barbara) Overton of Strongsville, OH; Step-Son Alan (Irene) Dillon of Keithtown; Special friends Donna and Junior Lafferty of Seth, WV; Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Wednesday, August 14, 2013 form 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Keith Cemetery in Keithtown.
