William A. "Bill" Kress, age 55 of Fulda, OH passed away as a result of an automobile accident Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Barnesville, OH. He was born June 13th, 1956 in Zanesville, OH a son of the late Rupert and Lucy Crum Kress. Bill was a member of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda and their Usher's Club. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Moose Lodge #221 in Caldwell. He was currently employed at Smith Concrete in Cambridge, OH and was a past employee of the former Mahle Plant in Caldwell as well as Caldwell Redi-Mix located in Byesville, OH. He enjoyed serving the residents of Enoch Township for over 20 years as their Trustee. He was an avid hunter and fisherman but most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one niece Angela D. Schehl Gildow. He will be missed by his wife and best buddy Donna Smith Kress of the home, whom he married March 27th, 1981; 2 Sons William D. (Anna) Kress of Memphis, TN and Tony D. (Melanie) Kress of Grove City, OH; the joy of his life and the proud grandfather of Jeremy and Jaeley Kress; 4 Sisters Barbara (Gerard) Gallagher of Lore City, OH, Mary Lou (Dan) Schehl of Sharon, OH, Cathy (Jim) Ogle of Fulda and Becky (Mark) Miller of Sharon; Brother David (Janet) Kress of Caldwell; Father-In-Law Don Smith of Caldwell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Thursday, December 15th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 with a Vigil Service held at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 16th, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
