Wanda K Brown

Wanda K. Brown age 59, of Carlisle, OH passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 22nd, 1954 in Caldwell, OH a daughter of the late Bernard and Betty Warner Archer.

Wanda was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Carlisle, where she was the Sacristan, a Lector and the President of the C.W.C for many years. She was also the coordinator of PSR. She worked for the Noble Local Schools, Interim Home HealthCare, and Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab. She was a caregiver to many in the community and the number of people that affectionately referred to her as mom and grandma are too numerous to count.

She was a very family oriented person whether it be playing cards with her siblings, board games with the family several times a week and singing in the "Archer Choir." She was a great dessert maker and will always be remember for making the best peanut butter fudge. She had many hobbies including gardening, her fish pond, crocheting, Bingo and visiting the Wheeling Island Casino.

She was loved and will be missed by her family, husband Robert L. Brown, whom she married May 5, 1973; daughter Mandy K. Brown of Carlisle; 2 sons Brad A. Brown of Carlisle and Kurt A. (Fiance Tiffany Parcell) Brown of Caldwell; Grandchildren Katrina, Levi, Anthony Brown and Aidan Robert Lowe; great-granddaughter Kaylee; step-grandchildren Kristena, Ethan and Alex Ingram; 7 siblings Marlene (John) Gaydos of Caldwell, Nancy (Robert) Thompson of Zanesville, OH, Patty Tonnous of Caldwell, Mary Jane (Myron) Hannahs of Ravenna, OH, Danny (Denise) Archer of Caldwell, Becky (Slink) Hendershot of Caldwell and Randy (Gwen) Archer of Carlisle. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Sunday January 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 and Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Michael Catholic Church in Carlisle. A Vigil Service will be held Sunday to begin evening visitation at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Monday January 13, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Carlisle, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Carlisle.
