Vincent G James

Vincent G. James, age 88, of Caldwell, OH formerly of Columbus died September 5, 2008 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge, OH. He was born on January 6, 1920 a son of the late Abramo G. and Rose Pezzopane James. He grew up in Belmont County and later Columbus. After graduating from Central High School, he served as a Master Sergeant in the Weather Service of the Army Air Corp in the Pacific Theater during WWII and was at Manila when it was liberated. He spent his career in construction management. In addition to his parents Vince was preceded in death by two Brothers, Arthur & Felix James and by his four Sisters Grace Calovini, Elizabeth Lee, Leona Furste & Lillian Logan. Surviving are his wife Jean, his three children Judy James of Caldwell, OH, Bill (Sharon) James of Austin, TX & Sally (Nick) Bogert of Miami, FL, his grandchildren TJ Nagel & Taylor Bogert and his sister Clara Jacobs of Cincinnati, OH. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday (Sept. 13, 2008) at 11:00 AM at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 7080 Olentangy River Rd., Delaware, OH 43015 with Minister David Redding presiding.
