Victor A. Saling

Victor A. Saling, age 90, of Caldwell, OH passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home. He was born February 10, 1926 in Noble County, Ohio a son of the late John A. and Sylvia M. Roehrig Saling.

Victor was a member of the St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, OH. He could often be found working outdoors, from gardening to tending to his lawn. He worked for the former Permian Oil and Gas Company and later the National Gas and Oil Corporation located in Caldwell for 38 years until his retirement in 1991.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Bernard F. Saling and Virgil Leo Saling; one sister Leona E. "Skip" Saling Barton.

Those left to cherish his memory are one sister Eleanor E. Saling of Caldwell; a step-niece Linda (Robert) Corp of Whipple, OH and several step-grandnieces and step-grandnephews.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Vigil Service to conclude visitation at 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Marys of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, with Rev. Father Chester Pabin serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
