Vern Charles 'Skip' Traxler

September 25, 1938 — December 18, 2017

Vern Charles "Skip" Traxler age 79, of Cambridge, OH passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at his home. He was born September 25, 1938 in Lorain, OH a son of the late Vern Charles Traxler and Marion Bulloch LaVriha.

Skip will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, how he lived life to the fullest, and his infectious personality. He never met a stranger, which was a great asset to him in his career as a salesman for welding gasses. He traveled the country several times and could recall the names of everyone he ever met. He also gave back to his field as a welding instructor for several different vocational schools around the country.

In addition to his parents, Skip is preceded in death by a brother Lon Traxler.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Pamela Sue Delik Traxler whom he married March 17, 1992; 2 daughters Carla (Jeff) Hines of Bellville, OH and Traci (Rich) Thompson of Granville, OH; 1 son Tom (Beth) Traxler of Lexington, OH; 8 grandchildren Taylor (Nathan) Hornback, Calvin Hines, Sydney (Chad) Kennard, Jake Traxler, Jordyn Traxler, Justin Thompson, Natalie Thompson, and Ben Thompson; brother Tim Traxler of Athens, OH. He is also survived by so many friends and colleagues throughout the country, from all his travels.
