V. Kathleen Garrett

V. Kathleen Garrett age 82, of Caldwell OH passed away Tuesday July 29, 2014 at Summit Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Caldwell. She was born April 29, 1932 in Caldwell a daughter of the late Lester "Wig" and Mabel Hesson.

Kathleen was a dedicated member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a lover of the arts, which lead her to become an employee of Archers Flower Shop in Caldwell. She served as a 4-H advisor for many years and also coached girls softball. She will be remembered as a great seamstress by many. Kathleen was very involved in her grandchildren and great-grandchildrens activities.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband V. Dale Garrett whom she married June 16, 1951 and who passed on May 28, 2011; one brother Leland Hesson and two dogs that were her companions Hallie and Boo.

She was loved and will be missed by her family, 2 daughters; Sheryl (Richard) Wyscarver of Quaker City, OH, and Sharon (Larry) Hayes of Sharon, OH; 4 grandchildren Abby (Dean) Fusco, Lindsay (Keith) Roe, Bradley (Jacalyn) Clark, and Ashlee (Sean) Tominey; 4 great grandchildren Wyatt and Leslie Roe and Nicholas and Michael Fusco; special friend Nancy (Bob) Rudge of Caldwell.

Friends will be received Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 537 Main Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with Pastor Jim Cooper Officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 537 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724.
