Teri A Parks

Teri A. McElfresh Parks age 79, of Caldwell, OH passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at OhioHealth Southeastern Med. in Cambridge, OH. She was born March 18, 1945 in Caldwell, OH daughter of the late Herman Grant and Evelyn Loretta Davis McElfresh.

She was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church and First Baptist Church both in Caldwell. In addition to being a homemaker she worked alongside her husband William S. “Bill” Parks CPA for many years. Teri enjoyed walking and being outdoors for any reason. She could often be found working on a word search book. Most of all Teri loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William S. “Bill” Parks whom she married October 3, 1964 and who passed April 11, 2014.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons Micah (Cynthia) Parks of Cincinnati, OH and Wesley Parks of Zanesville, OH; two daughters Shawna Parks of Norwich, OH and Merrilee (Justin) Ward of Marietta, OH; 6 grandchildren Tyler (Emily) Parks, Sydney (Taylor) Jamison, Cody, Allie Ann, Lincoln, Logan, and Reese; great-granddaughter Claire Parks; brother Tom (Joyce) McElfresh of Caldwell, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of the Cardinal Place Assisted Living for the care offered to Teri.

The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jay Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Bill.
