Susan Kaye Daugherty was born on March 11, 1957 to Martin and Marilyn Daugherty of Keene, Ohio in Coshocton County. Susie was the middle of five children raised on the family farm and graduated from River View High School and Malone College prepared to teach. She committed her life to following and teaching the Ways of the Master, Jesus Christ, and became active in foreign missions. She met her fellow teachers brother, Joseph Wayne Thompson of Pataskala, Ohio through a shared interest in missions and youth outreach. They married June 6, 1984 and her life was devoted to raising and home educating seven children for the LORD. Her final 15 years were spent helping Joe (and many others) begin Ohio Wilderness Boys Camp in Noble/Monroe counties of SE Ohio, which helps emotionally troubled boys. Here, she enjoyed reading to grandchildren and those of other Camp families, as well as gardening. Susan was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn. Susan left this brief life on May 8, 2024 at age 67. She now awaits the wedding feast of her eternal Bridegroom and her long home with the One who loved her soul and died to redeem her to Himself. It is important to Susan for you to know that you, too, can enjoy that hope in this life and joyous reality in eternity. Ask us about it, today.
