Shelah Spear

Shelah Christina Spear, age 84, of Columbus formerly of Caldwell, Ohio died Saturday afternoon (Jan. 28, 2006) at the Alterra Sterling House in Columbus.. She was born Sept. 6, 1921 in Noble County, OH the daughter of the late James "Mac" and Sarah Hazel (Johnson) Cain. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caldwell and enjoyed quilting. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by Three Sisters Lucelia Harms, Amanda Mae Mills, Ruth Sealock; Two Brothers Joseph Cain and Glen Cain. Surviving are husband Zail Everett Spear of the home whom she married Nov. 21, 1945; Three sons George (Denise) Spear of Reynoldsburg, Kenneth (Rebecca) Spear of Pickerington, and Philip (Meg) Spear of Paris, KY; Seven Grandchildren; One Great-Grandchild. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday (Jan. 30, 06) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday (Jan. 31, 06) at 10:30 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Dr. Gary Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery.
