Scott Mackie

Biography His Legacy.... Scott Mackie, age 59 of Caldwell, passed away Friday (Aug. 3, 2007) at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was born Dec. 20, 1947 in Cambridge, Ohio a son to the late David and Laverne Wood Mackie. Scott was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church, Buckeye Travelers Band and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #886 in Van Wert, Ohio. He enjoyed calling square dances, spending time with his grandchildren, woodworking, camping and doing benefit work around the area. His Family... Surviving are his wife Donna Mackie of the home whom he married Aug. 9, 1965; Son Frank Mackie of Caldwell; 5 Daughters Joletta (Drew) Palagyi of Caldwell, Misty (Phil) McConnell of Lewisville, OH, Mandy (Terry) Miller of Caldwell, Mindy (Greg) Brooker of Caldwell, Mitzi (Todd) Schaad of Churchtown, OH; 12 Grandchildren: Tori Moore, Brittany and Courtnie Mackie, Molly Moore, Scottie Palagyi, Ellie McConnell, Katelyn and Zachery Miller, Christopher Brooker, Maggie, Mason and Brodie Schaad; 3 Great Grandchildren Geneva, Alle and Travis Moore; 3 Sisters Kay Offenberger of Lowell, Sherry (Stan) Lippi of Van Wert, OH and Linda (David) Pruett of Indianapolis, IN; 3 Brothers Jim (Linda) Mackie of FL, Dan (Gail) Mackie of FL and Terry (Tracy) Mackie of Goshen, IN. Also Survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by and infant daughter Tammy Sue Mackie. His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Monday (Aug. 6, 2007) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Caldwell United Methodist Church in Caldwell with Pastor Gary Fitzgerald Officiating. Burial will follow in Hoskinsville Cemetery near Belle Valley.
