IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sally
Neff
February 21, 1942 – January 9, 2026
Sally Nan Neff, age 83 of Caldwell, Ohio passed peacefully in her home on Friday January 9, 2026, with her daughter Julie and sister Patsy by her side. Sally has been eternally reunited with her devoted husband Larry, who has been waiting to share the beauty of Heaven with his beloved since October 14, 2023.
Sally was born to the late Clyde & Mary Camden Parks on February 21, 1942, and was the oldest sister to her siblings Kittie Jo, Becky, Eddie, & Patsy. Sally was a 1960 graduate of Caldwell High School; and married Larry Earl Neff on July 16, 1960, and they spent 63 years together building a home and raising three children. Preceding her in death are her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Auredith & Lois Neff, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ronald & Lela Neff, her brother Eddie Parks; sisters Kittie Jo King, Becky Stoffer, and special brother-in-law George King.
Sally was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose actions spoke more than her words of the love she had for her family. As her and Larry raised their family in the country, they grew gardens and canned the harvest, was an excellent cook and kept a beautiful home. Sally was actively involved in and a proud Caldwell Band parent & booster. Sally was an avid card player of Euchre, with family and her card club, and spent countless hours over her lifetime of playing canasta, and teaching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren cards and games. She enjoyed trips to Arizona and North Carolina, along with embroidery, crossword puzzles, books, crafts, and flowers. She was a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Caldwell Redskins – attending many events of her children and grandchildren through the years.
Sally leaves behind a large family of loved ones, including her son L. Shaun Neff and his wife Deborah of Caldwell, daughters Tonda Lynn Hall of Scottsdale, AZ, and Julie Ann and her husband Curtis Mettler, of Caldwell, grandchildren Stacy (Brian) Parks, Troy (Mindy) Neff, Michael (Patricia) Neff, Cortney (Adam) Marazzo, Jenna Pangle (Bryan Winchel), Travis Mettler, and Jessica (Dustin) Brown. Additionally, 19 great-grandchildren, Haylee, Whyatt, & Hunter Parks, Andrew & Gabe Neff, Parker, Dominick, Maverick, Emerick, & Landrick Neff, Jackson, Hudson, and Maxson Marazzo, Harleigh and Camreigh Winchel, and Waylon, Alivia, Carsyn & Cooper Brown. Sally will be deeply missed by her youngest surviving sister Patsy Lawrence, and sister-in-law Shirley (Parks) Hayes, along with nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Private services are being held at Chandler Funeral Home in Caldwell on Wednesday January 14, 2026, with graveside services and burial at Dudley Cemetery, next to her beloved Larry. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to her wonderful caregivers Riley, Leeanna, Carrie, and Jessie; who were such a blessing while they helped to keep her comfortable, entertained, and loved, which allowed us to keep Mom home over the past 14 months. Many thanks to Beth, Kayla, Jennifer, Jade, and Jessie of Absolute Home Health & Hospice, and to neighbors Dave & Carol Cunningham; and to Bryan and Hallie of Chandler Funeral Home.
