Ruth A Walters

Ruth A. Walters, age 83, of Caldwell, OH passed away Monday, November 5th, 2012 at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge, OH. She was born January 20th, 1929 in Zanesville, OH a daughter of the late Rev. Dwight Henry and Velvia Miller James. Ruth was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church in Sharon and the Narcissus Club. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, fishing and baking. She was a 4-H advisor for many years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her Husband Bill Walters whom she married April 14th, 1948 and who passed away February 11, 1981; Son Larry Walters; Step-Son James Walters; 2 Grandsons Kyle Walters and Nicholas Ramage; Granddaughter Kerry Walters; Brother Earl James and Sister Mary Danhauer. She was loved and will be missed by her family, 4 Daughters Jacque (Mitch) Perkins of Caldwell, Jerri (Jim) Wilson of Smyrna, GA, Vel (Randy) Baker of Waterford, OH and Penny (Burt) Ramage of Caldwell; Son Rusty (Elaine) Walters of Caldwell; Daughter-In-Law Thelma Walters of Summerfield, OH; Grandchildren Corey and Josh Perkins, Alison and Aneda Baker, Tyler, Dakota, Heidi and Gage Walters, Ivan Ramage; Step-Grandchildren Christi, Stefany, Becky and Stephen Wilson, Anne Mertz, Jane Oliver and Sharon Border; Several Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Thursday, November 8th, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will conclude visitation at 2:00 PM Thursday, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Helen Lewis Officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be directed to the Sharon Cemetery Association, 15023 McConnelsville Road, Caldwell, OH 43724, in memory of Ruth.
