Roy Dale Hedge age 96, of Caldwell, OH, formerly a lifelong resident of Brookfield Township, Noble County, OH passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the Altercare Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell. He was born January 10, 1930 in Noble County, OH son of the late Lewis E. and Grace Bartlett Hedge.

He served and protected his nation in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. Dale was a lifetime member of the Hiramsburg United Methodist Church, Sharon Lodge #136 F.&A.M., Noble Country Service Club – Past President, Freedom Valley Antique Tractor Club, and Old Iron Power Club. Dale served on the Caldwell Savings & Loan Board as well as the Landmark/Green Valley Co-op Board. He retired after many years working as a dairy farmer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Clay (Edith) Hedge and John Hedge; sisters Lavina Mae Hedge and Neva (Lewis) Young; sister-in-law Anna Hedge; son-in-law Randall Dunn.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 76 years Betty Paisley Hedge, whom he married September 25, 1949; daughters Debra Susan (William) Grammer of Sebring, OH and Linday Fay Dunn of Camas, WA; grandchildren William Dale (Meagan) Grammer and Benjamin Paul Grammer; one very special great-grandchild Nora; brother James E. Hedge of Marion, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Keith Taylor and Pastor Rodney Parson co-officiating, with military honors to follow conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. Burial will follow in Hiramsburg Cemetery.
