Roger Lee Cianciola, age 69, of Caldwell, OH passed away with his wife and daughter by his side Thursday, June 28th, 2012 at Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH as a result of complications from cancer surgery. Roger was born February 18th, 1943 in Akron, OH a son of the late Frank and Imogene Cornett Cianciola. He was a proud 1962 Graduate of the Cuyahoga Falls High School and will be sadly missed at their 50th reunion party this year. Roger was a career Cuyahoga Falls police officer and followed his years there with a brief stint as a Marshall for the Las Vegas Sheriff's Office. He then retired to Florida and opened a bait and tackle shop in Clearwater, where he spent his days talking and laughing with other retirees about his favorite pastimes baseball, fishing and hunting. He later returned to Ohio to enjoy his family and spent his time hunting, fishing and coaching baseball with his grandsons, his most appreciated blessings. He will be fondly remembered for his love of laughter, good food, a cold beer and old friends and family with which to share it. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Debra Harp Cianciola of the home; 2 Daughters Elizabeth Cianciola of Caldwell and Dana Cianciola of Cuyahoga Falls; 2 Grandsons Nicholas and Nathan Glidden. Friends will be received Monday, July 2nd, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. No Funeral Service will be observed. Following cremation, inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family near his favorite fishing spot.
