Robert James Whittekind

Robert James "Jim Crow" Whittekind, 58, of Marietta, passed away on September 8, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born on November 27, 1957 near New Haven, West Virginia, a son of the late Woodie and Phylis (Kearns) Whittekind.

After graduating from high school, Robert served and protected his country in the U.S. Army, serving his time in Germany. "Crow" was a hardworking man and worked for many years as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Robbie and Victor; one daughter, Rachael; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Don, Harold, Dave and Tom; three sisters, Bettie, Billia and Marilyn; 9 nephews and 10 nieces.

Per his request, Cremation will be observed, with no additional funeral services held at this time.
