Robert W. Smith
September 20, 1934 — October 2, 2014
Robert W. "Smitty" Smith age 80, of Caldwell, OH passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at his sons residence in Caldwell. He was born September 20, 1934 in Akron, OH a son of the late Rollin Smith and Dorena Allen.
Smitty enjoyed spending time watching football and was a hard worker. He was a man that enjoyed trying new experiences and wasnt afraid to try new things including different types of employment. He was a carpenter by trade, among many other things.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Maxwell Curtis Smith and a brother Richard Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are, 2 daughters Pam Adkins of Cambridge, OH and Doe (Bruce) Cubbison of Cumberland, OH; 3 sons Darryn (Trina) Smith of Houston, TX, Ed Smith and Kevin Smith both of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A memorial service will follow visitation at 5:00 Wednesday in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary Fitzgerald officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
