Robert 'Bob' Anthony Petelin

Robert "Bob" Anthony Petelin age 57, of Summerfield, OH formerly of Medina, OH passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born July 18, 1959 in Medina, OH a son of Patricia Zbikowski Petelin of Medina and the late Lawrence F. Petelin.

Bob had a thirst for knowledge which eventually rewarded him with a MBA from Ashland University. He enjoyed coaching football and softball for the Shenandoah Zeps. One of his greatest passions was hunting, while enjoying nature and the outdoors. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister Mary Mihna.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Judith Deka Petelin, whom he married September 14, 1985; 3 daughters Jamie Petelin of Northville, MI, Alissa Petelin of Brighton, MI, and Robin Petelin of Summerfield; 1 sister Linda (John) Pospishil of Plantation, FL; 2 brothers Larry (Mary) Petelin of Valley City, OH and Jim (Victoria) Petelin of Mogadore, OH; mother-in-law Lucille Fronczak Deka of Maple Heights, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with a Vigil Service concluding visitation at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Carlisle, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Cremation will follow, with inurnment to be held at a later date.
