 
            Robert F. Farson, age 81, of Devola, died Wednesday, October 7th, 2009 at Harmar Place in Marietta, after being afflicted with Parkinson's Disease for a number of years. He was born September 23, 1928 in Keithtown, Ohio to the late H. Hosmer and Ethel Hughes Farson. Robert was a 1946 graduate of the Dexter City High School in Noble County. He served and protected his country in the US Army from 1951 to 1953, after which he graduated from the Valparaiso Technical Institute with a certificate in applied radio engineering. After operating a TV repair shop in Lowell for a few years, Robert was employed as a radio technician with Division #10 of the Ohio Highway Department until retirement in 1984. He was a member of the American Legion Post #750 in Lowell, Lowell United Methodist Church and its choir. He enjoyed making music throughout his life, playing guitar and fiddle with several local bands over the years. Bob was an avid hunter from boyhood, and organized a group of deer hunters in the local area over many years. He enjoyed traveling, and he and Martha took their children on several month-long camping trips. He later visited his ancestral county in Ireland, and made some long-distance motorcycle trips. He is survived by his wife, Martha Clark Farson, whom he married September 13th, 1953; one daughter Debbie (Keith) Hamilton of Napa, CA; three sons - Dan (Marie) Farson of McLean, VA, Dave (Paula) Farson of Hilliard, OH and Max Farson of Greenville, SC; a sister, Betty Lou Wilson, of Golden, Colorado; an aunt, Nellie (Edward) Hughes Chandler of Caldwell, OH; seven grandchildren; Jemlok, Hanna, Cate, Paul and Annika Farson, Forrest and Ellis Farson, and step grandson Colby Hamilton. The family will receive friends on October 17, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lowell United Methodist Church, 324 Fourth Street, Lowell, Ohio 45744. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Debbie Malec officiating. The family invites everyone to join them in the Social Hall following the service for a luncheon.
