Robert Darvas

Life Legacy Robert Darvas age 61, of Caldwell, OH, passed away Tuesday Morning (March 9, 2010) at his home. He was born September 18, 1948 in Lorain, OH a son of the late Leonard and Mary Schrenkel Darvas. Robert was a member of the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fulda, OH, Fraternal Order of Moose Lodge #221 and the United Steelworkers of America Local #1104 in Lorain. He retired from USS Steel in Lorain after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, helping his friends and loved Southeastern Ohio. Robert is survived by his wife Pat M. Darvas of the home, whom he married April 4, 1970; 2 Sons Senior Chief Petty Officer U.S. Navy R.J. Darvas of Waukegan, IL and James P. Darvas of San Diego, CA; 2 Grandchildren Jacob and Madison Darvas; Brother Dale (Jane) Darvas of St. Charles, MO; Aunt Bernice Brletic of Vermilion, OH and Sister-in-law Kathy Luca of Lorain. He is also survived by three nephews and several friends. Friends will be received Thursday (March 11, 2010) from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fulda with Rev. Father Thomas Hamm serving as Celebrant. In keeping with Robert's wishes, a cremation will take place following the Mass.
