Ricky Edward Smith

Ricky Edward Smith age 58, of Reinersville, OH formerly of Calhoun County, WV passed away Sunday evening, January 12, 2020 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. He was born February 8, 1961 in Georgia a son of the late Clyde Smith and Betty Stutler Whited.

He was formerly a volunteer fireman for the Reinersville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and trapping.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Brenda Sue; paternal grandparents Conda and Goldie Smith and maternal grandparents William and Jesse Stutler.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Virginia Marie Marklow Smith, whom he married June 24, 2004; a son Phillip Smith of Elizabeth, WV; a daughter Courtney Smith of North Carolina; stepdaughter Ashley Ragon of Florida; several grandchildren and siblings; half-brother Randy Whited of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 12:00 PM in the Cooper Stutler Cemetery near Annamoriah, WV with William Stutler Officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Creston Community Building, Creston WV at a later date.
